Align Technology’s UKI Forum Live 2023 will be held in Manchester for the first time this September – learn what’s in store at the event.
Align Technology Inc is a leading global medical device company that designs, manufactures, and sells Invisalign clear aligners, iTero intraoral scanners, and Exocad CAD/CAM software for digital orthodontics and restorative dentistry. The company will hold the 2023 UKI Forum Live on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 September in Manchester.
The theme for UKI Forum Live 2023, Align’s annual event for general practitioner dentists will be ‘One place, one platform’. The Align Digital Platform is an integrated suite of proprietary technologies and services delivered as a seamless end-to-end solution. The event will focus on how this enables dentists to deliver quality care and optimum clinical outcomes for their patients.
Speakers
The two-day agenda will include sessions from a line-up of British and international speakers addressing business and clinical topics. Planned topics and sessions include:
- A ‘maximising human potential’ session by globally acclaimed coach and speaker Vashti Whitfield about how she sees life, legacy and leadership
- Simon Chard, voted Person of the Year by Dentistry magazine in 2022 for his work on sustainability, who will share his view of the GDP of the future, with a focus on digital workflows
- Sarah Pless, a key opinion leader of the American Academy of Clear Aligners will present her experience and learnings
- Michaela Sehnert, from Germany, will take to the stage to present her views on orthodontics and implant placement in periodontally compromised patients
- A TED-style talk session featuring Dr Luis Ilzarbe from Spain, Dr Elaine Halley and Dr Barry Buckley, who will discuss Align’s latest innovation, Invisalign Smile Architect, the ortho-restorative treatment planning software they consider to be the new foundation for aesthetic dentistry.
Specialist and individualised speaker sessions for Invisalign Go providers, comprehensive providers and practice teams will also be featured.
- Dr Luis Ilzarbe will present how to harness the power of digital dentistry utilising Invisalign Go and the iTero Element 5D Plus intra-oral scanner for multidisciplinary cases
- Practice teams will hear from consultant Laura Horton and clinical treatment coordinator Tracie Barnett on how to build confidence by understanding patient profile types and the power of digital tools to communicate.
There will also be complimentary sessions from Dr Sandeep Kumar. He will provide easily digestible tactics, inspiration, and encouragement to drive real results in an Invisalign business. While Pina Maginot, software specialist at Exocad will host a session focused on Exocad’s Smile Creator and Model Creator.
Gala dinner
The two-day event will also feature an awards gala dinner. This will celebrate exemplary Invisalign transformations, and the best in practice development. The award categories in 2023 are:

- Most Transformed Smile
- Best Invisalign Orthodontic Treatment
- Best Practice Team
- Most Transformed Practice.
