With entry for the 2023 Dentistry Awards now open, here’s everything you need to know to compile and submit your entry.
The Dentistry Awards is the largest dental awards ceremony in the UK, often dubbed ‘dentistry’s biggest party’. It has become very well-respected in the dental community, recognising excellence in dentistry across the whole of the UK.
Taking place on Friday 17 November 2023 at The Athena in Leicester, the 2023 ceremony is one event you don’t want to miss.
Winning a Dentistry Award, or even being nominated, can have huge benefits for you or your practice. Patients are more likely to choose a practice that has been officially recognised as providing high-quality care. The awards also offer vital exposure, spreading the word that you are a big name in dentistry.
The awards are also great for team morale. It’s much easier to attract and retain staff when your practice has been acknowledged as having excellent standards. Whether you feel that your practice or laboratory has something special or your team always goes the extra mile, we’d love to hear from you.
‘Winning Best Dental Therapist North at the Dentistry Awards was also a wonderful surprise,’ says previous winner, Amber Ojak. ‘Many experienced clinicians win these awards. I would have never thought that I could achieve this at such a young age. Hopefully, it shows young dental professionals that you can achieve anything if you put the work in and really strive to achieve it.’
If you want a shot at bringing home an award, it’s time to start putting your entry together before the deadline on 15 September 2023. But where to start?
How to enter the Dentistry Awards
The first step is choose your categories. For 2023, the options are:
- Patient Care
- Team Members – including nurses, hygienists, therapists, technicians, practice managers and receptionists
- Young Dentist
- Dental Laboratory
- Website of the Year
- Sustainable Business Award
- Team of the Year
- Practice of the Year.
Once you’ve chosen which category or categories you will be entering, go to dentistry.co.uk/awards/the-dentistry-awards/ and click on ‘register now’. Add your details and select your categories. You will then receive an email saying that you are able to submit an entry.
After this, you can start preparing your entry. For each category, write 750 words explaining how you or your practice fulfils the criteria provided in the entry guide. Remember to leave enough time to complete this stage – make sure you’ve addresses all of the criteria, even if you’re not as strong on some of them.
To submit your completed entry, click ‘enter now’, fill out the online form and upload your entry. This is now the only way to submit.
