Five practice launches for Mydentist

Five practice launches for MydentistMydentist has celebrated the official launch of five new practices across the country, including three new orthodontic practices.

The company held ribbon cutting ceremonies at practices in Poole, Glasgow, Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Sheffield on 15 June to declare the practices open. This marked the completion of projects worth more than £3million of up front investment

Tom Riall, Mydentist chief executive officer, travelled to Poole to launch the practice on Commercial Road. There, the practice has expanded into an adjacent building. In the process, its sister practice in Poole has merged with it to create one bright and modern practice in the town with room for further growth.

Meanwhile, Richard Storah, chief financial officer, and Will Smith, chief operating officer, opened the practice in Glasgow.

New sites

This is a brand-new site providing a new location for two former practices on the edge of Glasgow.

The prime location on Crown Retail Park provides another modern dental practice with high footfall. There’s also free parking and extended opening hours.

Finally, Nilesh Pandya, deputy CEO launched three brand new orthodontic practices in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Kelham Island in Sheffield. These practices are the result of Mydentist winning new NHS orthodontic contracts in Yorkshire and the Humber.

They will provide both NHS and private teeth straightening treatments.

Improved patient journey

The projects are part of Mydentist’s new growth strategy. This will see it complete 126 similar projects by 2025, as well as a full refresh of its wider estate.

Tom Riall said: ‘Our growth projects are an exciting part of our future. They are designed to increase our surgery capacity through expansion of existing sites or relocations to larger, more attractive locations.

‘All offer state-of-the-art surgeries with new equipment, spacious waiting areas and staff facilities as well as additional services such as treatment co-ordinator rooms and scanning suites to improve the patient journey.

‘Having five new practice launches on just one day demonstrates the rate at which our projects are moving forward. Both the new general dentistry and orthodontic practices are already ahead of where we expected in terms of new patient numbers. I wish all five practice teams the best of luck with their new premises.’
