Merz Aesthetics is delighted to announce the addition of three new Merz Innovation Partners (MIPs); Dr Chris Hutton, Dr Dev Patel, and Dr Max Malik.
Each of the three MIPs will play their own specialist role as part of the MIP educational team.
The Merz Innovation Board (MIB) and the Merz Innovation Partner (MIP) team are Merz Aesthetics’ group of clinical educators and ambassadors.
All experienced trainers and well-respected healthcare practitioners (HCPs), this community delivers a wide variety of medical education across the full Merz portfolio and other specialist subjects.
Merz adapted swiftly to the needs of aesthetic practitioners during the pandemic. It delivered over 100 webinars reaching more than 1,500 individual UK and Irish HCPs on a broad range of subjects. These ranged from marketing and business support to patient consultation, anatomy and injection techniques.
The MIB and MIP team have been integral to the success and expansion of the Merz educational programme. They ensure exemplary standards of professionalism, expertise and genuine desire to support the medical aesthetics community. Merz has further exciting developments ahead as it unveils Merz Associates in the coming months.
Merz seeks to advance medicine in aesthetics. It is through the highly regarded and comprehensive educational programme that this specialist in aesthetic medicine continues to demonstrate this commitment to the UK and Irish marketplace.
Dr Chris Hutton
Dr Chris Hutton MB BCH BAO (QUB) is medical director of his clinic, Array Aesthetics based in Belfast.
He completed his undergraduate medical training at Queen’s University Belfast. Before pursuing postgraduate education in aesthetic medicine at Queen Mary University, London.
Dr Hutton has honed his skills alongside some of the most well-known injectors in the UK and Ireland over the last 10 years.
As well as his clinic business, Dr Hutton runs a busy training academy. This supports the professional development of aesthetic practitioners in Northern Ireland. He has plans to extend in more locations.
Dr Dev Patel
Dr Dev Patel BSc(Hons), MB BS, Dip IMC RCS(Ed), DFFP, DPDerm, MRCGP, DOccMed, is medical director of his award-winning clinic, Perfect Skin Solutions based in Southsea. He is also founder of clinical skincare brand, Cellderma.
After previously serving in the Royal Navy as a medical officer and latterly as a GP with a special interest in dermatology, Dr Patel is now a leading figure in the aesthetic industry.
He is an educator and trainer, after training medics in Canada, USA, China, Norway, Australia and Brazil. And he is a regular speaker at global conferences.
Dr Patel splits his time between his clinic and training facility, Perfect Skin Academy. He shares his knowledge and expertise with those starting out as well as supporting more advanced practitioners in evolving their skills.
Dr Max Malik
Dr Max Malik MB CHB, PG Dip Derm, MBCAM, MRCPsych, is a highly regarded member of the medical aesthetics community. He is an expert aesthetic doctor, dermatologist and hair restoration surgeon.
Dr Malik holds a post graduate diploma in practical dermatology (Cardiff). He is a full member of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons, ISHRS, USA.
He is also a full member of British College of Aesthetic Medicine and a member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists. As well as a consultant psychiatrist.
Dr Malik works from Knightsbridge and Harley Street, London.
He writes and publishes regularly on the psychology of aesthetic medicine and is an expert on body dysmorphic disorder in aesthetic medicine. He is an international trainer and educator both in the UK and internationally.
