Dentistry magazine scoops ‘Magazine of the Year’ award…again!

dentistry magazine award winnerDentistry magazine scooped the prestigious Magazine of the Year award – for the second year in a row – at this year’s PPA awards.

The PPA awards independent publishing companies across every sector in the UK. Winning a PPA is a huge accolade with many leading publications coveting the awards.

Dentistry magazine for 25 years has been at the centre point of UK dental practice life. It is therefore extremely well read across the whole dental team to learn more about the products and services available in UK dentistry.

Dentistry’s mission is to be a vibrant, accessible, and inclusive source of information for the profession. We therefore work hard to publish a newspaper for everyone within dentistry,’ Guy Hiscott, editor of Dentistry magazine, said after the win.

‘We believe in what we do. So to have those efforts validated by our peers within the publishing industry is a massive boost.

‘But here’s the rub: we’re lucky to have such an inspirational group of people to write about. While this award goes to Dentistry, just like the profession we serve, our magazine is more than the sum of its parts.

Dentistry belongs to everyone. Without our readers, or the support of the dental industry, we couldn’t exist, let alone be recognised as the best business publication in the UK.

‘Thank you to everyone who made this happen. I hope that our readers will feel they share this success – because it belongs to us all.

‘There is no doubt that 2020 has been an incredibly difficult year for us all. But here’s to ending it on a positive note.’

Dentistry magazine ‘key source of information’

The judges chose Dentistry magazine because it is a ‘key source of information, news and support for its industry’.

They went on to highlight the way the magazine adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic, consistently publishing essential content for dentistry.

‘Winning this award two years on the bounce truly separates our flagship title from its peers,’ Julian English, editorial director, said.

‘I cannot add any more to the overwhelmingly praising words of the judges.

‘The title is incredibly strong commercially and editorially and everyone who contributes to the magazine thoroughly deserves this award.’
