Devaki Patel explains how her practice has reopened, the new protocols they’ve put in place and how this has affected patient numbers.

Devaki Patel is a specialist orthodontist and co-principal at Cheam Village Dental Studios in Surrey.
Devaki qualified as a dentist at Bart’s and The London Dental Institute in 2013. Since then she has completed various hospital posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery, paediatric dentistry and community dental services. During this time she has also worked in general practice and hospital emergency dental services. Devaki has also completed a masters degree in primary dental care with the University of Kent.
Devaki then went on to complete three years of full-time orthodontic specialty training at The Royal London Hospital and Ashford & St Peters Hospitals. She obtained her postgraduate doctorate degree in orthodontics. Before attaining her membership in orthodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons. Devaki works as a specialist orthodontist both in NHS and private practices across Surrey, including her own.
Devaki enjoys treating children and adults alike, and provides fixed, Invisalign and lingual orthodontic systems. She has also had work published in a number of journals including the Journal of Orthodontics and the British Dental Journal. She has presented nationally at the British Orthodontic Conference.
Aside from the love of her job creating beautiful smiles, Devaki is an avid traveller, artist and loves to spend time with her husband and family.
