90 seconds during lockdown with…Beth Bradley

Beth Bradley explains how lockdown has driven her to taking up cycling and how dentistry might change after COVID-19.

Beth Bradly is a current foundation dentist from Northern Ireland working at Eccleshill Dental Practice in Bradford. She qualified with distinction and with the Certificate of Metorious Performance in Professionalism from Leeds Dental Institute last year.

She has a keen interest in dental journalism having taken up student editorial positions at BDJ and DentaltownUK. Beth now also helps peer review articles for the British Dental Journal. She has an interest in research and recently won an international poster prize award at the European Orthodontic Congress 2019 in Nice, France. She also has just had her first journal article published in the Journal of Orthodontics.

Beth feels passionately about caring for her patients and enjoys using her time writing articles to find the best evidence-based dentistry. This way she can share what she learns with both patients and colleagues.

Beth enjoys helping others and has worked this year with Dentaid providing emergency dental care in the community. Volunteering has always been a passion of her having completed missionary trips to both South Africa and Zambia during her undergraduate training with ‘Friends of Africa; SMA missions.’ She also plans to continue this throughout the course of her dental career.

Outside of dentistry Beth enjoys keeping active, walking, yoga and spending time with her family and friends.
