Bupa Dental Care, a provider of NHS and private dentistry services, has announced plans to recruit up to 1,300 new members of staff between now and the end of 2019
The news comes as Bupa continues to grow its UK dental business at pace. Bupa Dental Care is now one of the leading dental providers across the UK, with over 470 dental practices across the UK and Ireland, and the company has acquired more than 20 practices since the beginning of the year.
Positions range from dentists, dental nurses, practice managers, hygienists, dental therapists and roles across its UK support centres.
While clinical roles will require formal training and qualifications, a significant number of positions are available to newcomers keen to enter the healthcare sector.
Many new roles open
As part of its recruitment package, Bupa Dental Care will provide all employees with relevant training – as well as enrolling them on the ‘My Bupa Perks’ package which includes benefits ranging from health products and services to discounts on travel, retail and insurance.
Gabriela Pueyo, general manager, Bupa Dental Care UK said: ‘We’re committed to getting more bright, ambitious and hard-working individuals into the business, and I’m pleased to say that we’ve got a number of new roles opening up over the coming months and into the New Year.
Case study
Kaylee Crocker, 30, Bupa Dental Care Area Manager South Wales, Bristol & Somerset
Kaylee joined Bupa Dental Care in 2006 when she embarked on her dental nurse training course. Once qualified, she quickly took on the role of lead nurse and radiation protection supervisor, before progressing to assistant practice manager, and then practice manager in 2013.
After just over 10 years with the business, in 2017 Kaylee was approached to cover an area manager role which would see her managing 20 practices across Wales, Bristol and Somerset, with almost 750 employees.
After successfully tackling the cover, Kaylee took on the role permanently this year at the age of 30. Speaking about her rapid career progression, Kaylee said: ‘Every day is different and there are always different challenges and opportunities presented to me. We treat both NHS and private patients and so I get to meet all sorts of brilliant people.
Gabriela added: ‘Kaylee is a perfect example of how drive and passion – combined with a supportive working environment – can lead to a hugely successfully career path. She’s a real asset to the business and we look forward to welcoming more candidates like her into the Bupa Dental Care team.’
