More than three quarters (77%) of Brits aren’t happy with their smile, research from White Glo reveals.
The main reasons respondents gave for not being happy with their smile is due to stained or discoloured teeth.
This could also effect relationship prospects, with 36% of Brits claiming they wouldn’t date somebody with bad teeth.
‘Smiling is such an important part of life, helping to boost our mood, increase attractiveness, and show how we feel,’ White Glo’s dental expert, Jordan Kirk, explains.
‘Having a bright smile you can be proud of is something everyone should be able to enjoy.’
Improved lifestyle
Around a fifth of Brits feel they would be more outgoing if they had whiter teeth, the research found.
Respondents also believe this could lead to improved careers, relationships and positive life experiences.
The research also found that 74% of Brits feel that a smile can brighten up their day.
