Dentale’s ‘Week long introduction to implantology’ is exactly that and more

Dentist, Aslam Khan, had this to say about the recent course he attended in Shrewsbury under the tutoring of Mark Lester and Jim Toms.

Dentale’s ‘Week long introduction to implantology’ is exactly that and more.

‘How’ you may ask? This course will be the beginning of a new chapter in your career, it has everything you need and will want; starting with the support staff, extremely experienced, friendly and on hand to make the week go smoothly. The tutors and delivery of the course is amazing, allowing for interaction due to the small groups and most of all the ‘hands-on’ element to the course, which concludes with you placing an implant on a live patient, aided and supported by a great team making a potentially demanding situation into a calm and enjoyable experience. This course has it all! I can’t rate it highly enough, if you are looking into the many implant courses out there then look no further Dentale is the one!

What’s involved

The course takes place over five days and is split into sections to cover the theoretical aspects.

Day one covers the background, science and basic skills including implant design, bone healing and when to load. The day finishes with a hands-on session. Day two is spent on surgical theory, again interspersed with practical sessions, and day three focuses on the prosthetic phase. Days four and five commence with observation of prosthodontic cases and implant cases culminating in the delegates placing implants in patients under close supervision.

The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive introduction to dental implants with the objectives to understand when and where to place implants, to have sufficient knowledge to treatment plan and discuss the plan with the patient. By the end of the week delegates will be able to safely place an implant in a simple case.

Established in 2007 Dentale has trained hundreds of implant dentists and also offers an advanced 10-day practical advanced course to follow the week-long introduction. Courses take place in three Dentale clinics, Shrewsbury, Stafford and Bristol. The clinics recruit and organise the patients and at the end of the 10-day course a comprehensive portfolio of the cases undertaken is produced. Procedures such as guided surgery and osseodensification are also covered.

The week-long courses for 2018 are running in Bristol, weeks commencing the 5 February and the 19 November and in Shrewsbury, weeks commencing the 30 April and the 24 September. Places are limited across the courses so the groups remain small.

Discounts are available to those dentists booking a week-long and 10-day course. Further details can be found at www.dentaletraining.co.uk or call our friendly course booking team on 0845 0176 263.
