‘New era’ partnership aids dental nurse learning

Healthcare Learning: Smile-on, the UK’s pre-eminent healthcare education provider and FMC, the leading communications company in dentistry, have joined forces in a landmark agreement aimed at helping dental nurses reach their full potential.

The two companies have established a distribution agreement to allow more dental nurses to train and gain their primary dental nurse qualifications whilst remaining in practice.

The Dental Nurse Education Zone, established by Healthcare Learning: Smile-on in partnership with specialist dental recruitment agency and dental training provider Tempdent, is an online platform dedicated to dental nurses looking fit their training around their busy working and personal lives.

Using a blend of online and face-to-face learning methodologies, dental nurses can choose between two routes to gaining the primary dental nurse qualifications: The NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing and the Advanced Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing.

Commenting on the new agreement, CEO of Healthcare Learning: Smile-on Mash Seriki said: 'This agreement with FMC marks a new era in dental nurse education. Dental nurses have a very special skillset and we are proud to be helping them to reach their potential for the benefit of patients, the practices in which they work and ultimately for the nurses themselves.

'Our partnership with FMC will allow more dental nurses to access our unique blend of distance and face-to-face learning, packaged in a way to ensure learners will find convenient and inspiring.'
