Windsor mouths to be royally served

Windsor residents are set to benefit from a new style of dental practice which was opened wide by the Mayor of Windsor Asghar Majeed earlier this month.

CastleView Dental, in collaboration with Toothbeary, is the brainchild of two respected dental experts; Dr David Winkler and Dr Cheryl Butz, both of whom have international reputations in the fields of aesthetic and child-centric dentistry respectively.

They have joined forces to provide specialist expertise in the treatment of adults and children in one combined new facility.

Both practitioners are regular speakers at international health conferences and bring with them a deep understanding of the art and science of dentistry in their respective fields of specialty.

Dr David Winkler is originally from America and worked for many years in Denmark before moving to the UK where he has become a well-known authority on aesthetic dentistry.

He is the founding president of the Scandinavian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, past-president of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and a founding member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.

He sits on the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, and Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry as well as being an editorial team member of the Reality Research Team, and evaluator for Clinical Research Associates in the US.

Award winning patient care
Dr Cheryl Butz’s child-focused approach revolutionised  the way dentistry for children is conducted when she opened Toothbeary, the UK’s first child-centric practice, in Richmond, Surrey and the Windsor practice is the second Toothbeary to open following the success of the first.

Dr Butz brings a level of speciality and a proven success in the field of children’s oral healthcare which she developed after gaining her qualifications from the University of Munich.

She then successfully specialised in paediatric oral care in Germany before bringing her unique style of dentistry to the UK in 2006.

Toothbeary was a finalist in the 2011 Private Dentistry Awards in the Best Patient Care category, which exemplifies the exceptional level of service they provide for the families in their care.

David and Cheryl have a combined expertise of six decades and a shared vision for dentistry.  Their aim is create a one-stop practice where families are given life- long care from the moment their first tooth sprouts, enabling them to develop a familiar and long term relationship with the families in their care at every life stage.

Alongside skilled general dental care, specialist options including aesthetic and restorative dentistry as well as orthodontic treatments will be available to patients as they develop other needs or reach other milestones in their lives.

The practice is aptly named as it has stunning views of Windsor Castle from many of its treatment rooms.

For those who can tear their eyes away from the windows, the interior of the practice has been thoughtfully created to ensure there is a relaxing rather than clinical ambiance and a separate family area has been specially styled by an award-winning design team to offer young visitors a sense that it is fun to visit the dentist.

The clinical aspects of the facility are deliberately discrete and non-threatening so that patients can feel immediately comfortable.

In order to best serve their patients’ varied needs and lifestyles CastleView Dental is able to provide a full range of dental treatments at hours to suit them from early mornings or early evenings and school holidays giving their patients access to care when they need it.

The practice is also easy to access with a central, high street location, directly adjacent to Eton Riverside train station and a fifteen-minute drive from London Heathrow Airport.

Drs Winkler and Butz, along with their team, are multi-lingual and the practice is also located next to the Berlitz Language School, providing a combination of national and international languages which will enable the practice to treat people from all over the world.

Because both practitioners are committed to long term professional development, the practice also houses a seminar and lecture space, accommodating up to fifty people which will not only allow for continued team training but will provide a facility for knowledge sharing, training and lectures from visiting speakers and dental companies such as Philips – makers of Sonicare and Zoom whitening – with whom the practice has close working ties.

White Christmas and a toast to success
As an early incentive to visit the practice, CastleView Dental is offering a White Christmas promotion. Instead of the usual charge of £499 for tooth whitening, new patients will be able to have their teeth whitened before the festive season for £299.
