The General Dental Council (GDC) will be at the BSDHT event at Bournemouth International Conference Centre on 18 and 19 November 2011 to give delegates an opportunity to meet staff and hear the latest developments from their regulator.
The GDC currently has 6,000 dental hygienists on its register and 1,800 dental therapists. Whether a dental hygienist, therapist or both, registrants need to keep up to date with our work.
This year, the GDC’s Chief Executive and Registrar, Evlynne Gilvarry, is going to the
conference on 19 November to help explain exactly how the GDC’s new projects and initiatives affect registrants’ work.
A stand in the exhibition will also give registrants the opportunity to meet GDC staff face to face and ask questions about the new projects and initiatives:
· Continuing professional development: Current GDC requirements and plans for the future;
· Free publications: Pick up copies of patient leaflets on tooth whitening, the Dental Complaints Service and the GDC – find out how to order more online at www.gdc-uk.org
GDC staff will be ready to answer queries.
