Newcastle United’s new signing was denied a visa to the USA after it was revealed that he had failed to pay a dental bill on a previous visit.
Summer signing Yohan Cabaye was denied entry to the United States for the club’s pre-season tour, because he failed to pay for dental treatment carried out while he was playing for French club, Lille.
Cabaye denied he had failed to pay the bill and Newcastle did eventually manage to get the charge overturned, however, it was too late and the squad had already travelled, leaving the newest addition to the team at home.
