The art of endodontics
Dr L. Stephen Buchanan
Friday 23 October 2009, London

Last chance to book
By attending this seminar you will discuss cutting safe, effective access cavities; negotiating root canals to their terminal points, and accurate determination of canal length. These must be accomplished at a high level or the shaping and filling outcomes are irrelevant to the success of the case. This seminar will describe the concepts and techniques necessary for dentists to experience their delivery of conventional endodontic treatment as an enjoyable and profitable part of their dental practices.

At the end of the seminar you will have a greater understanding of negotiating techniques for consistently reaching a canal terminus, using apex locators, the safe and efficient use of nickel-titanium files among other pearls of knowledge.

Local anaesthesia and medical emergencies
Thursday 3 December, London
Stanley Malamed, John Meechan and Eugene R. Casagrande

Local anaesthetics are the safest and most effective drugs in medicine for the prevention and management of pain.  Stanley Malamed will look at the local anaesthetics currently in use, comparing them as regards to their clinical onset, duration, efficacy and safety. John Meechan will look at ‘pain-free’ dentistry and the conundrum in that many patients associate receipt of a local anaesthetic injection as a very painful procedure.

There is an optional evening hands-on session with Eugene R. Casagrande the previous evening, where you will have the opportunity to practice various injection techniques.
