Seize that aesthetic advantage…

A unique course, designed for dentists who want to learn the ultimate smile design through a live patient hands-on experience, is being held next month – led by the world-renowned lecturer Dr Larry Rosenthal.

The Aesthetic Advantage hands-on Continuum will be held over five days – Friday 11-Sunday 13 July and Friday 18-Sat 19 July – and will give delegates a whole new outlook on cosmetic dentistry and its may rewards.

The event will provide dentists with the opportunity of diagnosing and treating up to 30 cases.

Delegates will be coached by Dr Rosenthal and a host of other star instructors, with live patient hands-on cases providing a unique learning experience throughout the inspirational continuum.

As well as the practical, hands-on element of the course, there will also be presentations aimed at the whole dental team on how to incorporate aesthetic dentistry into a practice.

Over the intensive five days dentists will learn:
• Case presentation
• Completion of an anterior case – preparation, impression, temporisation & cementation
• High-tech application and armamentarium
• Step-by-step preparation design
• Impression techniques made simple
• Laboratory communication
• The art of aesthetic contouring
• How to expertly apply the finishing touches and smile design techniques.

The programme is arranged over two levels. All dentists must start their journey at Level 1 unless having already completed this with Dr Rosenthal in the USA.

On Level 1 a power-packed programme – delivered by Dr Rosenthal, a team of instructors and special guest speakers – will focus on the necessary skills required to prep, temporise and insert an anterior veneer case.

There will also be lectures on smile design, practice management and marketing.

Level 2 delegates will select more advanced cases to prep in the clinic and will have a
special ‘lunch and learn’ with Dr Rosenthal where each dentist can discuss two cases from their practice.

Issues such as advanced crowding, severe tetracycline staining, midline discrepancies and Empress II combination cases will be covered.

Known as the ‘dentist to the stars’, New-York-based Dr Rosenthal has made his name through his expertise in aesthetic and implant dentistry. Since graduating from New York University in 1972, he has established himself as a high-profile motivational lecturer throughout the world and
regularly features on TV and in magazines. He runs a private practice in Manhattan.

He will be joined over the five days by: Dr Ken Hamlett, Dr George Kirtley, Dr Jay Lerner, Dr Mervyn Druian, Dr Julian Caplan, Dr Ian Buckle, Dr Amjad Malik, Dr Komal Suri, Dr Surinder
Hundle and Dr John Adams.

Staff instructors will be Kathleen O’Donnell, Bobbi Anthony, Moona Malik and Jo Masters.

The course has won many admirers from those who have already signed on.

Dr Warren Martin, who tackled Level 1, said: ‘All the instructors were very dynamic and enthusiastic, putting everyone at ease, sharing their passion and installing into you the confidence that you could produce the stunning results that they themselves are capable of.’

Dr Amir Hyder added: ‘I feel more enthusiastic about the work I do and for the future development of my practice. I feel more confident in my preparations and in restorative dentistry.’
