Dental spa entrepreneur wins award
Cumbrian dental entrepreneur Chloe Booth has been named as one of the top five female business leaders in the North West of England.
Chloe beat hundreds of other competitors to join just four other finalists in the Northwest Women in Business Awards, organised by the Northwest Regional Development Agency.
Chloe is director of Grange Dental Practice – singled out for its ‘innovative and imaginative’ approach to developing new business and providing exemplary client care.
The business, based in Grange-over-Sands in South Cumbria, has opened practices in Manchester and Ilkley in North Yorkshire, and has recently also taken over an Ambleside dental practice.
Earlier this year, Grange Dental featured in a report on BBC’s Your and Yours consumer show.
It explained that the practice was helping to pioneer ‘dental tourism’ in Britain, and was attracting visitors from across the UK who came to Cumbria to combine treatment with a holiday break.
As well as providing private dental services to local people, the clinics also offer a full range of cosmetic procedures from tooth whitening to anti-wrinkle treatments.
In addition, competition judges commented, Chloe has made radical changes to the way in which people perceive dental treatment, and tried to turn visits into a more positive and enjoyable experience.
Her practices employ full-time beauty therapists to provide free sessions for clients in order to help them relax, and regular patients are also offered chauffeur-driven rides to and from work or home.
The practice’s flagship clinic in Manchester is designed along the lines of a modern spa, and has attracted many clients – including some well-known entertainment and sporting names – since opening last year in the city centre.
Grange Dental was founded by her father, Dr Michael Booth, who has been in practice for over 30 years.
Chloe’s brother Tom is also a dentist in the business.
