Beyond straight teeth: interdisciplinary and airway-driven aligner therapy

Speaker: Simon Clavell-Bate
Dr Cavell-Bate is a general dentist and co-owner of a DSD-certified clinic with his wife and is based in the north west of England.
He has undertaken certificate courses in aesthetic dentistry, occlusion, orthodontics, digital dentistry as well as having a diploma in implant dentistry from RCS Edinburgh and a fellowship from the College of General Dentistry. More recently he has become a DSD master following completion of training and case examination by Christian Coachman and the team at DSD in Madrid.
Simon's practice is limited to comprehensive, interdisciplinary cases involving Clearcorrect orthodontics, implants and restorative dentistry, working closely with the DSD planning team. When not geeking out on teeth Simon likes to travel with his wife and two sons. He enjoys golfing and attending concerts with his sons when time allows and loves walking his two labradors.
Speaker: Daniel Ramos
Dr Ramos has held a master's degree in orthodontics since 2002 from PUCRS Brazil, demonstrating deep expertise in his field.
He serves as faculty at iHDS Houston-USA and UCAM (Spain) and is a key opinion leader for DSD, delivering numerous international lectures.
Over the last decade, he has lectured extensively on facially and airway-driven digital orthodontics with aligners, showcasing his innovative approach.
From 2018-2021, he was the orthodontist at the Well Clinic (DSD founders' practice), a key site for the creation of the Digital Smile Design concept.
Since late 2019, he has been clinical director or the orthodontic and interdisciplinary departments at the DSD Planning Center in Madrid, overseeing over 5,000 case plans.
This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity fully complies with the CPD requirements of the General Dental Council. FMC certifies this activity for one hour of enhanced CPD in the subject of Beyond straight teeth: interdisciplinary and airway-driven aligner therapy.
This CPD meets the criteria for the GDC’s development outcome C.
