Maya Abdulrazak

Maya is a final-year dental student with a strong passion for advocacy, leadership, and inspiring the next generation of dentists. Known on social media as @syriantoothfairy, she has built a platform of over 120,000 followers on Instagram, where she shares insights into dental school life and encourages aspiring students to pursue a career in dentistry. Throughout her studies, Maya has taken on multiple leadership roles, including serving as the Fifth-Year Representative, elected by her peers, and as a Dental Student Ambassador. She is also a Muslim Women in Healthcare Ambassador, working to support and uplift underrepresented voices in the field. Beyond her academic and leadership commitments, Maya is passionate about writing and contributing to the dental profession. She has published articles with Dentistry.co.uk and the Dental Defence Union (DDU).
