This dental webinar will introduce you or provide details of the science and technology behind the Biomin bioactive glass toothpaste.

It will take you through the science and clinical applications of the toothpaste for patients with dentine hypersensitivity. The webinar will discuss new and established concepts in caries management, especially for the early demineralised lesion.

It will also aim to generate a paradigm shift in the understanding of fluoride and challenge concepts based on established scientific thinking.

Speaker: Swati Nehete

I am a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London, Whitechapel. I have been in post since 2004 and continue to enjoy teaching of Prosthetics, Prosthodontics and broad Restorative dentistry to students. I have good insight into the challenges posed to the dental practitioner. I have a research interest in TM Joint Dysfunction and Bioactive glasses. I undertook Prosthetics training at the Eastman Dental Institute followed by senior house officer training posts in Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative dentistry. I have enjoyed working with influential Prosthodontists and doing research with Prof Robert Hill and Dr David Gillam. I have been involved with bioactive glasses since 2009. My brief stint in general practice allowed me to recognise the complexities of providing dental care to the patient community. I would like to provide a snapshot of how this revolutionary smart bioactive glass toothpaste could truly help your patients.
