Biju Krishnan
Dentist, Founder of Dentistry Consent
Dr Biju Krishnan is an award-winning dentist with special interests in early interceptive non-extraction orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. He is the founder of Dentistry Consent, the first enhanced consent tool for General Dentistry, and the inventor of Cfast – one of the UK’s largest orthodontic cosmetic tooth alignment systems. He is also the co-founder of the Society for Dentofacial Growth and Function, aiming to revolutionise paediatric health by promoting early screening and integrative treatment approaches.
Jaymit Patel
Consultant in Restorative Dentistry
Mr Patel is an ambassador for Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK and leads the Prosthodontics service at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. He also leads oral rehabilitation services for both Head and Neck Cancer, and Cleft patients, focusing on quality of life and public health.
Emma Riley
Oral Health Practitioner
Emma has many years’ experience in dental nursing and oral health care, having qualified from Manchester Dental School. She was at one point the only Sponsored McMillian Oral Health practitioner working for the Pennine Trust and supported patients at all stages of their treatment of oral cancers. Emma led nurse led clinics and was the DCP member of UKOMIC. Her work has seen her present and write both nationally and internationally and allowed her to present at the Mouth Cancer Awareness event in Parliament. Emma is also a clinical advisor for MCF. She has throughout the pandemic worked closely with care homes and was proud to contribute to the COP26 event which put oral care for the older person under the spot light.
Tripat Mahajan
Dentist
Tripat graduated from King’s College London, completed dental foundation training and went on to carry out three years of dental core training. She gained experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics and restorative dental specialties. Tripat is now working as a specialty dentist in restorative dentistry and is a clinical tutor for the King’s College London students of dental therapy and hygiene.
Whilst working in maxillofacial surgery, she saw how mouth cancer can have a huge effect on oral wellbeing and the impact it can have on quality of life. As a clinical ambassador for the Mouth Cancer Foundation, she is passionate about oral health promotion and spreading awareness & education for health care professionals and patients alike.
