Jo Downs started her career in dentistry in 1993 as a trainee dental nurse working in practice. Her journey then took her into the world of community and hospital settings where she worked in the maxillofacial unit at Kent and Canterbury Hospital. After completing training in radiography and sedation she was still hungry for more. So she was delighted to be selected to study dental hygiene and therapy at Kings College in London. Jo proudly graduated with the class of 2008 and has not stopped there! She currently work in a fantastic practice in Kent. Jo is the current chairman of the south east regional group and elected council member for the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy BSDHT.
