Professor Ingrid Grunert completed studies in general medicine in Vienna, where she where she received her doctorate in 1981. From 1981 to 1983 she worked in the department of oral surgery at the university clinic for dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery in Innsbruck and completed her specialty training in 1985. Professor Grunert has been head of the clinical department of dental prosthetics at the university clinic of dentistry. Professor Grunert has written more than 80 published papers and given more than 300 lectures at home and internationally. Her clinical and scientific work focuses on new concepts for the rehabilitation of edentulous patients, prosthetic rehabilitation with fixed prostheses, combined fixed-removable prostheses, implant-supported prostheses and the rehabilitation of patients with functional disorders of the stomatognathic system.
